Programs
All our programs and activities are managed by volunteers who believe in the right to learn of young people who have sacrificed so much to get an education. We have two major fundraising projects each year.
Be a Donor
By being a donor, you are helping build the Mayan community of Guatemala to become self-sufficient and take their place in society. Education is the route they have chosen and we invite you to join us in helping them achieve their goal.
■ Adopt a Junior High Student
Elementary and Junior High School Students. A donation of $100 will pay for the school fees for and elementary or junior high school student for one year.
■ Adopt a High School Student
A donation of $200 will pay for the school fees for a high school student for one year.
■ Donate to Complete the College
There is an ongoing need for more classrooms to be built at the school. The school is not able to accommodate all students in the area who want to go to school. As a result, some children are stuck doing physical labor in fields, or in construction.
■ Donate to the Sustainability Fund
We are committed to raise donations to be put in to a fund to assure that the college does not become obsolete due to lack of funds ensuring the long term sustainability of the college. The interest is paid to the college annually for administration and upgrades of the college. Your donation will assure the long term viability of the college. The Mayan people on their own would not be able to guarantee the viability of the college and assure the educational goals they have set.
